LEX by Nemiroff: a new benchmark for quality in the premium vodka segment

The ultra-premium spirits category demands not only strict adherence to production standards from the manufacturer, but also a clear brand identity. LEX by Nemiroff was created as a product that sets its own rules within the vodka segment. It is the result of a quest to push the boundaries of quality, where Ukraine’s production heritage is combined with innovative approaches to filtration. The drink is positioned not simply as an alcoholic beverage for a traditional feast, but as a tool for unlocking complex gastronomic pairings and signature bar mixes.

Raw materials and a unique filtration process

The recipe is based on ‘Lux’ grade spirit, produced from carefully selected cereals. The artesian water used in production undergoes thorough purification via reverse osmosis, ensuring its perfect smoothness.

The key distinction in the production process lies in the addition of an extra stage of distillation involving botanical ingredients. Six master distillers have incorporated the distillation of lime blossom and honey into the traditional process. This lends the drink complexity and depth, whilst preserving the vodka’s recognisable profile.

Thirteen stages of filtration and ageing

The water-alcohol purification process takes place in 13 stages. In addition to standard methods, filtration through silver, platinum and amber is employed. This approach allows for the removal of microscopic impurities that typically affect the sharpness of the flavour.

Once filtration is complete, the product is left to rest for six months. This stabilisation period is necessary to achieve maximum smoothness and balance in the drink’s molecular structure before bottling.

Tasting profile: from aroma to aftertaste

The aroma is characterised by its purity and richness. It reveals subtle notes of wildflowers, white grapes and freshly cut grass.

The flavour profile has a silky, enveloping texture. Hints of yellow fruits come to the fore, complemented by subtle yet distinct accents of pink pepper and bergamot.

The aftertaste is long-lasting, with mineral notes and a subtle hint of yuzu and mint, providing a sensation of natural freshness.

Service culture

Ultra premium spirits need care really, when you serve them. To get the full flavor of the drinks complex setup, it is best to cool it to 8–10 °C , not more not less. Many bartenders suggest putting it over ice and adding a quick twist of grapefruit zest. Or, just use it as the foundation for intricate cocktails, somehow it fits in different ways. Like in an LEX Espresso Martini, where it softly matches the coffee character without stepping on it.

International recognition

LEX by Nemiroff received a number of awards even before its official launch in October 2023. These included gold medals from The Spirits Business in the ‘taste’, ‘design’ and ‘overall quality’ categories. In 2025, the vodka won another ‘gold’ at The Luxury Masters competition in London in the ‘Ultra-Premium Vodka’ category, where the jury praised its full-bodied flavour with notes of lemon and citrus.

It is precisely this combination of time-honoured craftsmanship, locally sourced ingredients and attention to the finest details that makes LEX by Nemiroff a prime example of what true ultra-premium quality should be.
